ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Fee: USD 5.00 per day per additional driver. Each additional driver must be registered by the renter at the rental counter prior to driving the vehicle. All additional drivers must meet Avis driving requirements and be present when registered. If an additional driver is registered during the rental, the Avis vehicle must also be brought to the location for inspection.

Minimum age 21 with Avis, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or travel voucher supported by a charge card*.

*FOR DRIVERS BETWEEN 21 AND 23 THE UNDER AGE DRIVER FEE IS USD 7.00 PER DAY.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Available only in Panama City, free of charge. Customer must call in advance. Pick-up service at hotels also available.
DRIVERS LICENSE
Valid driver’s license from country of residence, a valid Panama driver’s license, or an international drivers permit is required.
GAS
Not included in rates. Approximate cost per U.S. gallon: 7.00 USD.
NO-SHOW/CANCELLATION POLICY
Groups G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N & O: To be guaranteed, reservations for these groups must include the customer’s charge card number, expiration date and billing address. A no-show fee of 75.00 USD will apply if the reservation is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice or if the customer does not rent the vehicle within 12 hours of the reserved time.
All Other Car Groups: Reservations for other car groups will be honored up to 8 hours after the reserved time or until closing, whichever comes first. A No-Show Fee does not apply.
ONE-WAY RENTALS: WITHIN COUNTRY
Cars can be driven one-way between David and Panama City for a one-way fee of 180.00 USD . Distance between these two cities is 486 kilometers (302 miles).
ONE-WAY RENTALS: OUTSIDE COUNTRY
Not applicable. Cars are not allowed outside of Panama.
PREPAYMENT
All types of credit identification require a deposit at beginning of rental that varies by car rented and coverage purchased. See Charge Card Hold.

LIABILITY & CONDITIONS
A general note about insurance:
Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
MOTOR LIABILITY INSURANCE
Customers are required to purchase third party liability coverage which is available with the damage waivers or ALI as outlined below.
DAMAGE WAIVER PLUS THIRD PARTY LIABILITY COVERAGE
Purchase of LDW is Optional. The cost of coverage is not included in the approximate total.
LIABILITY & CONDITIONS
Avis offers Damage Waiver:
LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) relieves the customer of all financial responsibility.
TP (Theft Protection Waiver) is included in LDW.
LDW provides coverage to the Avis vehicle in case of damage due to collision or theft provided that the customer complies with the rental agreement terms and conditions. Damages due to vandalism, fire, partial theft and other occurrences clearly stated under the terms and conditions of the rental agreement are not covered and the customer is fully liable for the Avis vehicle in such events.
ALI (THIRD PARTY LIABILITY)
Purchase of Third Party Liability coverage is available. ALI is not available on car groups N and O.
If renter declines the PDW or LDW protections, customer may accept this protection which relieves the renter from damages caused to third parties.
Coverage limits of Third Party Liability are:
Property damage: 10,000.00 USD
Public liability: 10,000.00 USD per person, 25,000.00 USD per occurrence
PAI (PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE)
PAI provides accidental death & medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Avis car.
Benefits:
- Medical expenses per occupant (up to the maximum capacity established by manufacturer): 5,000.00 USD (driver) 3,000.00 USD (passengers)
- Death of driver = 25,000.00 USD
- Death of each passenger (up to the maximum capacity established by the manufacturer) = 25,000.00 USD
PEP (PERSONAL EFFECT PROTECTION)
PEP covers personal effects in the rental car up to a limit of 1,000.00 USD with a 50.00 USD deductible.
T&W (TIRES AND WINDSHIELD) (COUNTER SELL ONLY)
T&W covers the tires and front windshield of the rental vehicle.
- 3.00 USD per day.
- No deductible.
